Diploma in Education is a 1-year certificate education program. This program guides the candidates about teaching, learning and schooling techniques. The main objective of this program is to instill basic teaching aids in the candidates so that they can teach class 1 to 5 or primary section. This program instills and develops and makes the candidate acquainted with the methodologies and ways of teaching the school.

The eligibility of taking admission or enrolling in the D. Ed program under Department of Karnataka is –
- The candidate must and should be a citizen of India and resident of Karnataka.
- Minimum qualification of appearing for the examination is 12th passed from the Goa board and the candidate must have secured at least 50 % pass marks in order to take admission in D.Ed.
- 45% pass marks for SC/ST and OBC.
